Hannah & Jason - Gildings Barns

Some couples, you just know you are going to click with - Hannah & Jason were one of those couples.

This all-in-one Gildings Barns wedding was such a delight. The weather was spot on, the guests we vibing, speeches were on point, and I found out that Jason was/is as wizard!

The day started strong. I wasn't booked on for any prep but I got there earlier that planned due to it being a summer Saturday near Gatwick and so I was little concerned about traffic. Gildings Barn is a really nice place to film (unless you want to fly a drone - but we'll come back to that later). I like it because it's big enough to cater for 150+ people, whilst being small enough to keep everyone close and social. Some bigger venues are so spacious that a 200+ wedding can spread out and look empty. This place is spot on. I also like that the car park is very close which is handy for someone like me that carries a lot of equipment.

The ceremony took place outside and the entire thing was bless with the ambiance of tweeting builds throughout. In the video, it almost sounds like I've editing the birds in but I haven't - I promise.

The alcohol started flowing along with some great laughs and interesting conversation, which made for some really nice natural candid moments.

All three speeches when fantastic; Hannah's dad signed off with a joking about poo, Jason reminisced of the time he "came out as a wizard", and the best man had nothing but sincerely amazing things about his wizard buddy.

The cake was cut, the first dance was magical (or wizardly), and then the sun started to set for a final sneaky couple shoot.

It was a real pleasure to work with David Bige. His photography style works well with my style of videography and he was great company on the day. I hope to work with him again someday.
